The Look of Thanksgiving
In the year 1621 colonials of Plymouth, Massachusetts feasted with the Wampanoag Indians. Little did they know the season of fall would never be the same! Two hundred years later, the Thanksgiving holiday was declared official. People in America spend this autumn holiday celebrating thanks with friends and family, eating too much food, and, perhaps, watching a football game. Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated as a formal affair; over time it has evolved to be more comfortable and family-friendly.

Prom 2012: A Vintage Extravaganza
Prom 2012 has many trends associated with it, including one-shoulder dresses, high-low hemlines, lots of satin, lace, sequins, bold colors, daringly mini lengths, oversized bows, deep-v necklines, sleeves in all different lengths, and ruffles. If you really want to have a unique look for the night you’ll never forget, try utilizing vintage resources! I mean, do you really want to look like a belly dancer on prom night (see below)? Many schools are cracking down on risqué prom looks this year as retaliation against the prom dresses that appear to be bikinis with a skirt. Be sure to check your school’s regulations before purchasing a gown. Some schools do not even allow backless dresses. Be a classy lady on prom night – vintage dresses are so right now for the true fashionista.

How to Wear a Blazer
A blazer is a must need for anyone’s closest. Today women aren’t only wearing blazers with suits they are paring them with up with jeans, leggings, shorts, skirts…etc.
History
Blazer originated with the red 'blazers' of the Lady Margaret Boat Club (1825), the rowing club of St. John's College, Cambridge. The Lady Margaret club jackets were termed blazers because of the bright red cloth; the term survived the original red coat.
Early blazers were like later sports jackets, but this term has never referred to blazers, instead describing jackets derived from the later innovation of wearing odd jackets for land-based sports. Assertions that the name is derived from HMS Blazer are not borne out by contemporary sources
Striped blazers became popular among British Mods in the early 1960s to late 1970s particularly in three color thick/thin stripe combinations, with three-button single breasted front, five or six inch side or center vents and sleeve-cuffs with multi-buttons.
There aren’t any rules on how to wear a blazer but here are some ideas on how to wear them. Try it out!

Who is St. Patrick?
As we all know St. Patty’s day is right around the corner. We all we need to wear green so we don’t get pinched and get those delicious shamrock shakes from McDonalds. But do we know who S. Patrick is and why we celebrate this holiday?
Saint Patrick lived during the 5th century. He is known as the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland. But St. Patrick isn’t Irish at all; he was born in Roman Britain. At the age of 16 he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave. He escaped later on but came back to teach the Irish about Christianity. Legend has it that he explained to the Irish the Holy Trinity using the three leaves of a shamrock. The day we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is believed to be the day he died March 17, 461.
