Duchess of Cambridge Chic

This week, we’re going to focus on England’s most notable modern-day fashion icon: the future queen. No matter what event she is attending, her look is always properly put together and very chic. Princess Catherine has been placed on numerous best-dressed lists in the past five years. She is known for mixing couture pieces by British designers with street retail fashions. Kate has also been lauded for her magnificent use of headwear in her personal style. Since her timeless style can be replicated using vintage pieces, we’ve found items in our Etsy shop that fit her style (for much lower prices than Kate's pieces). Wear to your next high tea!

First, we have a very Catherine-esque hat with a bow and netting, if you want to look fabulous at Sunday church or even an afternoon viewing a polo match with the ladies. Kate always tips her hats elegantly to the side to add asymetrical interest - you can do this too with some bobby pins and an elegant coif. Don't forget your pearl studs! Find our hat here.

Our next dress is very similar to Kate's shift dress worn nicely with a black blazer, wedges, and skinny belt. The length is demure enough for the office and doesn't require a blazer on warm days. Take a note from Kate's ensemble and don't over-accessorize; this lady-like dress speaks for itself. Find our reasonably-priced version here.

Kate Middleton carried an off-white beaded clutch to the Epsom derby alongside her tophat-and-tails clad hubbie. Ours is quite similar, and would go perfectly with a daring all-white outfit like Kate's; she made a smart choice to not be too matchy-matchy with accesories in shades of tan. Also try our clutch with any color of evening gown or suiting ensemble for an Easter brunch - its color and simple shape is extremely versatile! Find ours here.

This is a different look that Kate Middleton wore to Roller Disco event. Our verison of this is a green sequin dress. I wouldn't wear this to a Roller Disco, but for drinks with your girlfriends! Tone down this statement dress with black flats. The large key hole on the back is very in right now - it shows off your back in a sexy way. Find the sequin dress here.
Kate Middleton is wearing a trench coat, a classic shape good for any occasion (especially rainy days)! Our verison is called a box coat. It is a bit different from Kate's, though still a wonderfully structured coat (Kate knows what silhouettes work for her, and always wears coats with structured tailoring). Wear it to work, an office party, or out on the town - either to keep warm or just to show off your style. This coat is pefect for this year's unpredictable spring weather. Find it here.

Finally, we present the doppelganger to Kate's feminine red dress, worn to by the princess to a society wedding. The nipped waist on both the dresses and slightly looser top with flutter sleeves gives it the perfect balance of sexy siren red and coverage in order to keep the look ladylike. Kate's look features black accessories with a statement matching feather fascinator - nice touch! If you want to re-create Kate's fabulous look, shop our dress here.
