Bold reds are the best way to garner attention of everybody you see.  Check out the Women’s Boxing team for tips on how to rock a solid red this summer.  During the day you can watch the Olympics live in our very own 1980’s Liz Claiborne Collection button down blouse.  Take your bold red look to the streets in a long and lean maxi dress.  Can’t find a hot red maxi?  Then come on over and look at our own 1970’s handmade maxi dress.  This fire engine red dress is aching to be taken out for the night.  If you’re like the rest of the American population and you are sitting in the office secretly checking the Olympics progress at work you need a red dress to show your team spirit off demurely.  Why not throw on our 1980’s Peplum Secretary Dress.  Light, airy, and perfect for your secret trips to the internet to cheer on Team USA.

Bold red not your style?  If you are determined to look and feel cool this summer try on some blues that don’t make you blue.  Take some pointers from both the Men’s Archery Team for a relaxed day look.  A girl can’t go wrong with a navy blouse.  Especially if it’s a fun floral 1970’s button down blouse like the one we have just sitting in our shop.  If you are a bit of preppy gal you’ll love the Olympic Equestrian uniforms.  Take some pointers from rider Reed Kessler for that perfect prep look.  Need a great blue blazer?  Why not check out our vintage Harve Bernard Jacket.  A guaranteed buy that won’t make you feel blue.  Need a dress for the night? Take our 1980’s Asymmetrical Peplum Dress out and show it the town.  You’ll be backing Team USA in the most stylish of ways.

Can’t decide which color to wear?  Why not go all out and mix them up for that seamless patriotic look.  Gather your inspiration from the Women’s Olympic Soccer team uniforms.  Grab a striped polo for those lazy summer days.  Don’t have a striped polo? Why not take a peek at our 1970’s Red Striped Shirt for some inspiration or just let us send it home with you for a great summer staple.  Stripes not your thing? Get away from the geometric with a polka dotted blouse.  If you love Minnie Mouse you’ll love our 1980’s Secretary Blouse.  Perfect for work or play, this is a blouse that hits only the high notes for the summer.  Are you taking a night out this summer?  Why not step out this summer in a great red and white dress.  We have a 1980’s Bill Blass dress just waiting to be shown off this summer.  Come take a look in our shop and you’ll see why we can’t hold onto this dress.

Still missing that pizazz?  Take some tips from our gold winning Women’s Olympic Gymnastics Team.  Add sparkle to your wardrobe this summer with sequins and beading.  Spice up those white pants with a blue sparkly top.  Try out our 1980’s beaded blouse and see if you can add a little something shiny to your work wear.  Need something shiny to show off your baby blue denims?  Why not a beaded white tunic to break away from your normal every day outfits?  We have the solution just lying around our shop!  Fall in love with our beautiful 1980’s Beaded Blouse.  Believe us; this white hot beaded blouse isn’t going to stick around too long.

Need a simple night out dress?  Go positively shiny with the trend of short sleeved dresses this summer in a Laurence Kazar beaded dress.  This little mini will turn heads as you sparkle through the night.  Like to show off your shoulders a bit more, check out our 1990’s Beaded Cocktail Dress.  This is the solution to every dress dilemma.  Plus there’s a little cut out back for added appeal.  Don’t believe me?  Click on the picture and see some more of this dress.

While everyone has one eye on the Olympics, maybe the best event for us is the new fashion face-off between First Lady Michelle Obama and Catherine Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.  While it’s a friendly spar to see who can look the most fabulous we have to admit neither of them miss a beat.  When meeting one another both look stunning.  Our first lady looks elegant in a swishy white pleated skirt and beaded white jacket.  Princess Kate looks just as elegant in a satin ice blue cocktail gown.  If you love that pleated skirt you are going to need to wander in our shop to look at our 1980’s Pleated Skirt.  The swishy pleats with black and white hem stripe are just as elegant and wearable as the lovely Michelle Obama’s outfit.  More of a Princess Kate fan?  Look no further than our ice blue 1960’s evening dress.  This beautiful gown comes with an ice blue jacket to complete that put together princess look.

Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton have been dressing up and dressing down with their blazers.  Since London isn’t known for particularly hot summers both women have agreed that the chic-est cover up is a great blazer.  Follow Michelle Obama’s blazer theory with our 1970’s Geometric Print blazer.  Are you more of a royal fashion fan?  Follow Kate with a simple black blazer like our very own 1970’s Black Blazer for that great London look.

Get athletic without sacrificing style by taking tips from both Michelle and Kate.  Rock a dark and light striped shirt with a pair of light pants for a totally American workout.  Or grab your favorite lightweight zip up and pair it with some sunny skinny pants for a thoroughly British training period.

This summer have a day dress ready just like our two fashion Olympic competitors.  Both chose contrasting black and white for their summery dresses.  Follow Princess Kate in our own 1980’s sundress complete with little red belt for a pop of color.  Or follow Michelle Obama in our fun 1980’s secretary dress with black and beige herringbone print!  Can’t decide between the two?  Get both and pay a little homage to both of these great fashion icons across the pond.

As we watch on bated breath this summer to see who takes home the most gold let’s do it with style and chic.  Let’s support our Team USA in London and show the world that America is still filled with classy chic people.
