The Look of Thanksgiving

In the year 1621 colonials of Plymouth, Massachusetts feasted with the Wampanoag Indians.  Little did they know the season of fall would never be the same!  Two hundred years later, the Thanksgiving holiday was declared official. People in America spend this autumn holiday celebrating thanks with friends and family, eating too much food, and, perhaps, watching a football game. Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated as a formal affair; over time it has evolved to be more comfortable and family-friendly.

What to wear for Thanksgiving this year?

The outfit goal is to look presentable enough for grandma while being comfortable enough to relax on the couch while watching a football game. The outfit for the day needs to be versatile!  Check out these outfits that gave us our Thanksgiving 2012 inspirations!

Here are our thoughts for this season’s Thanksgiving feast:
   Large, loose tops
   Comfortable, stretchy bottoms
   Rich autumn colors
   Warm sweater-like layers

As always, we have options on our vintage Etsy site that can help you achieve your perfect Thanksgiving outfit! Layered up with sweaters and tights, the look of the night will be effortlessly classic and comfortable!
