2012 Runways Reflect Vintage Silhouettes!

This spring, all the designers went gaga over sleek 1920’s silhouettes. At Treasure Chest 01, we’ve got this swinging trend covered at a much more affordable price for you in our vintage collection.

First, we’ve found a romantic floor-length sheer nightgown from the Spring 2012 Calvin Klein Runway Collection that correlates with our vintage 1970’s nightgown! The lightweight fabric will feel luxurious against your skin on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Find ours here

Next line of business: 1920’s drop waists! These lovely silhouettes are seen again and again on the runway in the spring 2012 Ralph Lauren Collection. The drop-waist trend last appeared in the 1980’s, which is when our vintage bridal gown was made! Remove the shoulder pads, and you’ll have a completely on-trend look for 2012. Wear this calf-length gown on a breezy night in the Caribbean at your destination wedding. The sheer overlay on the skirt is so chic, and it reflects another spring 2012 runway trend: romantically sheer fabrics. Find our gown here

Jumpsuits’ tailored silhouettes are back! Kenzo’s Pre-Fall 2012 Line shows this utilitarian look in an elegant, ladylike fashion. Sport our vintage jumpsuit from the 1980’s with some strappy wedges and a leather waist belt this spring, and you’ll appear to have stepped right off the runway. The fun brass buttons on the shoulders and at the neck of the jumpsuit will really make your look pop. Find ours here

The look is from Chanel 2012 Spring Couture runway. The model is wearing a box coat that was inspired from the 1960’s. Chanel has taken a vintage box coat and put a new spin on it. This jacket is perfect to wear to work to keep you warm on those chilly days! You can get the box coat less expensive than the Chanel version here

The outfit is from Chanel 2012 Spring Couture runway. The jacket is from the 1960’s and once again Chanel did another spin on the jacket. But the jacket on the right is from etsy.com. It is both a jacket and a dress, you get two for one! This outfit is perfect for work with the jacket on top of the dress, but simply take the jacket off and you can wear it for a night on the town! This set is also less expensive than the Chanel suit. Stay in style with this set here

The look by Chris Benz RTW Spring 2012. He remade a 1970’s floor length dress. Both dresses are loud and perfect for spring or summer! You can wear the belts in a bow in back or front, as shown in both pictures. This dress also lets you show off your cleveage but not a lot. The floor legnth dress is perfect for a walk on the beach at night! You can get this dress for less expensive than from Chris Benz here
