Snow Day Sweater Projects

January always has a few surprises up her sleeve; especially, snow days.  For a single day you get to hang out at home with no responsibilities, other than enjoying the warmth of your own house.  After that relaxing hour or so what are you going to do?
We decided to pull together 5 projects that are perfect for a snow day.  All you need are those old sweaters that nobody wears anymore.  You can even stockpile a few thrift store sweaters just for this occasion.  Grab your favorite hot drink and get crafty.

1.  Infinity Scarf

 

Make yourself an infinity scarf from that old sweater that’s been lying around your house.

2. Leg Warmers

 

Be 80’s fabulous in your own house with a pair of rocking leg warmers.  Or use the leg warmers as pretty boot cuffs for the day after the Snow day outfit.

3. Coffee Cozy

If you are a drinker of copious amounts of coffee than a simple coffee cozy makes all the difference between a nice hot drink and burnt hands.  Try making your coffee cozy unique to your own style or make a few as special gifts to your fellow coffee drinkers.

4. Sweater Pillows 

 

Test your sewing skills out with a sweater pillow.  These comfy and cozy pillows will add style and warmth to any room.  Try making these pillows out of those ugly Christmas sweaters for fun.  Or cannibalize your old striped sweaters for a springy look.

5. Sweater Quilt
