Every house has one, the dreaded wall.  One wall in the whole house that is completely blank in the most unnerving fashion.  The possibilities are endless, but your time is limited and your budget is tiny.  Why not take an afternoon and try out these easy DIY solutions to rid you of that dreaded plain wall.

Snow Day Sweater Projects

January always has a few surprises up her sleeve; especially, snow days.  For a single day you get to hang out at home with no responsibilities, other than enjoying the warmth of your own house.  After that relaxing hour or so what are you going to do?
We decided to pull together 5 projects that are perfect for a snow day.  All you need are those old sweaters that nobody wears anymore.  You can even stockpile a few thrift store sweaters just for this occasion.  Grab your favorite hot drink and get crafty.

Get Moving

The New Year is just beginning and if you haven’t hopped on your Resolution list it can feel like you’re already behind.  You’re not!  Take the rest of this month to get up and get moving.

One of my own New Year’s Resolutions was to get healthy.  Like many American women with the stress of a job, school, and life my weight has been slowly tipping the scale.   This is one of the hardest resolutions to maintain.  I can’t tell you how many years I have written it down only to ignore it as soon as a sweet treat came into my life.  If you’re like me and you absolutely love junk food, television, and curling up on your couch then this is our rallying cry:  Get Moving! 

Here are 5 steps that will get all of us back on track.

Take A Break

The holidays are over, the mess is immeasurable, and the laundry is overflowing; it’s time to take a staycation.  If you’ve never heard of this term you are missing out on one of the greatest trends of saving money, time, and your sanity.  Remember that your staycation doesn’t include errands, trips to the grocery store, or any other distractions from relaxing.  Make a list of activities for each day of your staycation this will help you to actually take a vacation instead of just oversleeping on errand days.   Here are some suggestions for your very own special staycation.
