  1. I wish these bulk bags were still available in their stores. The shipping on the online bags is too expensive for alot of people.

    1. I wish that the owner of Goodwill can actually see what he's doing to the poor people all of this stuff is donated to Goodwill to help the poor people buy what they cannot buy at the stores and he is getting rich off of donations that were actually donated to the poor people this is ridiculous you should bring back the jewelry it belongs in the actual stores and everything else that you are selling online you are ripping off the poor you're living on a multi-million dollar home and we have to pay full prices for clothes and jewelry and shoes and housewares for everything that you get for free that is so not fair how can you sleep at night

    2. You were right that's what I heard too.

    3. I agree, well stated!!!!

    4. NOT “well stated”! There is no “owner” of Goodwill. It is a non-profit corporation with locations in many cities. Each Goodwill district makes it’s own decisions & operates independently of other districts. This means each district makes it’s own financial & stock decisions. Your comment about “million dollar homes” & the”owner of Goodwill sleeping well at night” is ridiculous!

    5. I think she meant CEO of Goodwill and and she is exactly right. They make the big bucks and bonuses. I see daily an item in Goodwill that is priced above what it is sold new in store. Same exact brand and item. Shop other thrift stores and Salvation Army that truly help people who have lost their homes in fires etc.. yes Goodwill does provide jobs for disabled people but many of the people that work there could get jobs anywhere and others that really can’t get other jobs are left out.

  3. When I volunteered at the symohony thrift store the manager said he came from Good Will. The president of the GW company required ALL donations be sent to the main plant. She TOOK the fine jewelry, designer clothes, antiques and oriental rugs. Her home furnishings and fashions totaled 5 million plus. No one ever said a word when her term was up so she just lives with her stolen posessions, selling whenever she gets the urge. I will never donate to a charity thrift again.

    1. Same thing happens at the Salvation Army store in the Florida Keys. Manager takes all the valuable donations he wants and sells it on Ebay. These donations are for people that cannot afford much not for an employee to steal.

    2. There is no “president of the Goodwill company.” You are perpetuating a lie based on a myth. I, myself, am a former Goodwill manager.

    3. There is a CEO I think you know what they meant.

  8. Never realized all this. When we moved to another state, we had to leave most of our belongings behind. Goodwill purchases helped us restock at good prices. But now am re-thinking this habit.

    2. Yes I agree. They are donations and they should sell them to us because this is for our purchase. I wander if it is time to stop buying at goodwill untill they can get it right.

  9. Goodwill originally started as store for those less fortunate to get items at a significant low cost and to hire disabled folks. But since the internet opened up the resellers have destroyed this good deed. It needs to be renamed Good Steal because now they are just stealing from the public and reselling on line at a very steep price.

  10. I think those people are calling everyone liars bc they misspoke about goodwill having an owner, are mostly likely the ceo's theirselves or a member of their family; otherwise they wouldn't be so quick to call someone else a liar who was just stating their opinion that goodwill should actually provide more help to those in need since everything they sell is completely free and since they make so much the higher ups live in mansions and make millions of dollars a year. I mean it's 100% profit, after paying salaries. They do not have to buy any of the items they sell so they aren't liars.
