Frighteningly simple Halloween project

See this plain and shabby candelabra? With a few inexpensive supplies, it has been transformed into a festive Halloween cupcake stand! This project is so simple it is frightening!

The candelabra was purchased at Goodwill for $4.99 minus a 20% off coupon. (Every time you donate goods to Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan, you receive a 20% off coupon!)

What to do:

  • Paint the wood with a little black craft paint. ($0.57 at Walmart)
  • Tie fall colored curling ribbon around the candle holders. ($1.27 for 4 colors at Family Dollar)
  • Bake cupcakes in Halloween cupcake wrappers, frost with orange frosting and add sprinkles and pumpkin picks. ($1.20 wrappers & 1.20 pumpkin picks at Hobby Lobby.)

Place five cupcakes on top of the candle holders and put the rest on a plate.
Here it is!
Keep an eye out for this candelabra in future blogs as it is transformed with each new season.

Happy Treasure Hunting!
