Upcycling Jeans

Winter is here to stay, so why not Make Something Today? Most everyone has a pair of jeans or two that are not being worn anymore. Why not try a new project and upcycle them? With the bitter cold weather right now we could just curl up in a blanket and watch TV until bedtime, or we could create something - something to keep or give away.

Sweet Pillow
This pillow was handmade by one of our Goodwill Team Members
       
She cut the front and back pieces for the pillow from a denim shirt. Then cut the letters and heart from a piece of felt and sewed them onto the shirt. Putting the right sides together she sewed all for sides knowing she could unbutton the shirt to turn it right side out. Stuff with a pillow form and button the shirt back up. This took her 15 minutes and even impressed her teenage son!  Love it!
